Partnered Design

Platt Builders has built partnerships with excellent local architects and designers.  To get you connected to the right person, we first like to understand the scope and parameters of your construction project. We will then make introductions to one or two design professionals that we feel would be appropriate for the style, scope, and size project you are considering. This enables you to work with a design professional with whom we have confidence and experience. We have relationships with people who specialize in both traditional and contemporary styles as well as larger and smaller projects.  If you already have an architect or designer that you are working with, we are pleased to work as a team member with them to bring the project to life.  We will also bring to the table any needed engineers, surveyors, building scientists or others to help ensure a successful project.

Project Management

Project Management is the connective tissue that holds every project together during pre-planning and construction driving the project forward like the walls of a sluiceway.  Our PMs work as a team, led by Chris Brown, Director of Production, so they can collaborate, brainstorm and problem solve with multiple heads in the game but one point of responsibility.

Your PM will be your building expert, quality control monitor, communication hub, project scheduler, labor boss, safety officer, contract administrator and purchasing agent. This is a complex, multi-functioning role critical to project success. Whether you are undertaking a renovation, addition or construction of a new home, your PM will manage the project calmly and confidently allowing you to maintain focus on the rest of your life.

Custom Cabinetry & Millwork

Started by Halsey Platt three years before the founding of the company in 1992, the cabinet shop embodies our company’s attention to detail and craftsmanship. We create cabinetry that is both beautiful to look at and truly solves functional needs. Our own team installs our cabinets on site to be seamless with the rest of your home. Our shop excels at a wide variety of cabinetry and millwork. Having built entire paneled rooms, beautiful kitchens, unique and custom bathrooms, and lots of individual items specific to each customer, our versatility enables us to fulfill a wide range of client needs and investment levels.

Finish Carpentry

Platt’s field force of Finish Carpenters provides a superior level of quality craftsmanship, offering our clients the “final touch” – that aspect of the remodel that you, your family, and your guests will continue to talk about as the space is lived in. Our Finish Carpenters handle the intersectional complexities on-site, using their love of the materials and uncommon skill to respond to these challenges as they happen. It is a deep part of our company’s culture to think for the long term - always remembering that “it is better to build it correctly now” instead of coming back to talk about it and fix it later. We have artisanal pride in the craft of the trade.

Prismatic Painting by platt builders

In 2021, we added Prismatic Painting to our Platt Builders family. Our team of five painters expands the Platt Builders’ dedication to the details so that you can be confident that your painting project is done properly. Prismatic Painting is available to returning clients, current projects in construction, and also for stand-alone client needs.

SMALL PROJECTS AND WARRANTY

We build trusting relationships with our clients and once built – we are there for you going forward.

We have a whole team devoted to small projects for past clients.  We are happy to tackle annual maintenance needs, single room remodels, re-roofing or repainting, or other projects.  Knowing who you can call and that you will get a competent response is a great comfort.

Our small projects team also handles our warranty work. We warranty all our craftsmanship for three years – triple the industry standard. We want every client to understand this warranty as our written commitment to you that we will build with care. While we don’t extend manufacturers’ warranties, we do help clients solve almost any problem that comes up with their home.
